Re: PC RF IR Transmitter

Robert,

My current setup is:
IRDA port for ha pc to control NTL box
Mouseremote receiver to allow me to get the ha pc to change channels etc on
the NTL box
(was hoping to get more functionality from this, but rf remote is limiting
factor)
RF transmitter to send rf ir signals direct to pyramids around house (1
pyramid so far) to give ha pc control of all ir devices.

I'm building an ir receiver (when diodes, transistors etc arrive) to sample
my remotes.
(Interestingly the irda port can happily transmit normal ir signals, but not
sample them)

Next project in this area is to get a pronto, and fit it with an rf
transmitter.
(Will also need to modify/replace the mouseremote rf receiver probably)

Regards
Tony T

Tony,

What did you use to give your HA PC IR capabilities - a PCBlastIR, a
Redrat2, or something else ??
(I've scanned the arhives of the group over this discussion, but can't
see the answer to this anywhere)

Cheers,
      Robert
