Back to the drawing board then........

I tried a cowl into a 4" duct but that doesnt seem to be getting
anywhere 
enough heat out. The outside wall is around 36ft high and i want to live a
little longer yet. The other concern of the loft was the 100 years of soot
about 3" deep
