Bathroom automation

I fancy automating my bathroom scales so that I can draw a graph 
charting the progress of my ever expanding girth (and perhaps 
correlate it to a barcode rubbish bin, but I digress a bit).

Any suggestions on a suitable set of scales to use as a starting 
point? 

I think I've seen scales with a separate display head in the past 
which might provide a good interface point - especially if they IR to 
pass the data between the head and platform. Any other thoughts?
