I'll take photos and post when I have.  As a bonus, LEDs react quite
favourably to PWM control, so that's a good plan for dimming areas of the
room.  This means I could (eventually) have the lights at the rear of the
room on brighter than the ones near the window.  This would make great
supplemental lighting.

Hmmm, could be.  Depends on how many LEDs are required to adequately light a
room.  Anyone know the output of a 100W filament bulb?
