no patch though i have tried the latest drivers from via for agp.
Cause amd recommended it i phoned them and they are now running
a labtest to see if they get any problems on their side. At least
there is one company that takes it's customer seriously.

      The only thing I can think of off hand, is did the motherboard come with an agp patch? I've had a lot of problems with
      current 3d cards with VIA chipset mobos, but so far I've always sorted them by using the supplied patch or
      downloading an uptodate version.
