Thanks Mark, That was indeed the case.. however "can of worms" is the phrase that springs to mind... FRAMESET isn't in 4.01 Strict, it's only in 4.01 Frameset. Suggest that you put the following at the start of your document, before the HTML bit. <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Frameset//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/frameset.dtd"> Regards, Mark
