RE: Source for DigiLiock
>> can't you use a proximity lock instead - letsautomate have
them
Ah but I don't want it for just opening doors. So what do I want it for
I
hear you all cry.
HERE'S THE PLAN
I want to set up a momentary switch and an iButton receptor at various
point around the house, garden and garage. The iButton receptors will
be
wired into the iLock thing and the switches into HV (that's HomeVision
not
Holly Valance). When a switch is pressed a flag or 5 second timer
starts
and then the iButton is pressed against the receptor. The controller
now
knows which button was pressed and who did it. From here the
possibilities
are endless.
1. Individual music or TV on automatically
2. Disarm the arm and play relevant messages
3. System knows who is home
4. Open doors or gates
5. Switch on and off power in garage or garden
By using a 8 bit code across the HV inputs you could extend the number
of
users from 8 to 256. This opens up the possibility of having an I'm
in a
good mode button and I'm having a bad day one and the house behaves
differently for each.
See where I'm going with this?
S.
