My company doesn't believe in bank holidays...... we get them added to 
our holiday allowance, so we can take them whenever we want, but it 
means we don't get the perks I used to get at the last company for 
working them, like time and a half + day in lieu.... :(

Whenever I see a sign up in a shop saying "Open bank holiday
Monday" I 
feel like saying "You're not a bank.... why the hell would you be
shut?" :S
