I recently did a new 98 installed and was dismayed to find the windows
update featured no longer operational. Bill said nothing about time
limited features when i bought it.
It does however work for current installations anyone know how to trick
it ?

IMO:
Win98 is easy to reinstall when the kids break it, and is compatible
with
everything. It's also not resource intensive.
Win2k and XP pro can be secured down a lot easier to stop the kids
breaking
it, but will require more work to set it up initially, and will be
more
intensive (especially on the HDD which will lose 2GB instantly with
XP).
Of course, being a nursery, the kids won't be very good at breaking
software
yet, so I suggest Win2k or XP. It depends who will administer it,
and how
much experience they have.
