Subject: [ukha_d] No AC3 sound from VIA S/PDIF

Here's one - it's happening on both a Abit KT7 and the new Via MiniITX board (both with onboard Via Sound chips)

Both have onboard S/PDIF ports (Abit has Optical, Via has Coax). Sound works fine through it - the Amp detects it as PCM. If I play an AC3 encoded AVI, and select S/PDIF, still only get PCM sound. I've tried PowerDVD 4 too - same thing.

The same AVI played through my main system, which has an SBLive with optical/coax out DOES work fine - and the Amp detect a AC3 bitstream.

Anyone come across this ?
