I don't think this is the case... Although I wish heartily that it was! :-)

FWIW, I've even had problems stored the PST file on the server and accessing
it across the network.  PST files get *really* big (even if you archive them
regularly), and I gave up trying to access mine via a (100Mb) network link.

Personally, I use a mail server called "Hamster" and would highly recommend
it.  It'll do pretty much everything required with the exception of http
mail.  I don't have the web address on me, but a google search for
"hamster", "mail" and "server" should pick it up! - Hamster is also an NNTP
server, which can be handy at times (for example, I use it to automatically
put my UKHA messages into a local newsgroup so I don't get individual
messages via e-mail).
