Re: OT Raid Setup for MP3 Server



No answers to this interesting thread(sorry) - just some additional
questions...

1.  Do the previous comments on disc speed apply if distributing
uncompressed audio around a LAN?  I'd like to be able to put out up
to 4 (possibly more) streams simultaneously (I'm still trying to oust
Linn from the rip-off high-quality multi-room market).

2.  I'm planning to dedicate a server to this task (which puts
uncompressed audio out to the LAN and has a touchscreen in each room
(for control) connected to client PC which also outputs to local
digital amplifier/spkrs.  Anybody have any idea what sort of
processor this would take?
