I'd don't know for sure but for radio, I'd be thinking along the
lines of something like a tv/radio card in the PC and using jreceiver
to stream it to the DDARs...

it's not particularly practical for other sources.. I would however
take a look at Keith's KAT5 modules too. You could centralise your
sources, have in-wall/ceiling speakers, and just a control pannel on
the wall (with ir interface of course). For output from a single amp
i'd think about something like

considering the amount of work you have to do and the costs involved,
unless you are particularly wealthy, then you can start off like this
and then add amps as you can afford them...

You could also take a look at the ASEL boards on
www.controlanything.com - these units can be daisy-chained and
controlled via simple serial port commands...
