RE: Advice on ipaq expansion cases

Title: Message
I have one for sale which I ordered in November and received a few weeks ago.
It _did_ appear on my credit card.

I am selling it because I was not happy without a cover on it and bought an SS5 instead.
The SS certainly makes it easier to hold the iPaq, but the SS5, though bigger, makes it easier still - it is basically an SS with a cover pack glued on.

Both are good, it's just down to personal preferences.....

If anyone is interested in buying the SS, plz email me off list: tony@xxxxxxx

cheers,

Tony

Hi

It is worth considering http://www.pdamotion.com/
, they sell a massed produced version of the Silver Slider, which is basically a cut (literally) down version of the compaq cf expansion pack.

I ordered one of these 4 months ago and cancelled my order as it was taking longer than expected, and 3 weeks ago it turned up and no charges on the CC.

You will have to check how the company is doing at the moment as they had a few problems the quality control in the early units.

On the good side, the silver slider is really good and in my view makes the ipaq more comfortable to hold.

just my £0.02 worth

Why not get a CF WLAN card?  then you don't need the pcmcia sleeve at all......

Hi all

Ive recently bought an ipaq 3870 and I want to add some compact flash cards to it for extra memory.  Alls fine so far in that I was going to buy a CF expansion pack to fit them. But I also want to add a PCMCIA expansion pack and wireless card later on so I can connect to the PC.

Heres the question.  Rather than buying the two expansion packs and having to swop over (and waste money), is it possible to use the Kodak compact flash --> PCMCIA converter that ive seen in currys (£2.49) with the compact flash memory and PCMCIA sleeve.

ie buy:

PCMCIA expansion pack
Compact flash memory
CF to PCMCIA converter
Wirless card

Also I havent seen the two expansion packs up close so is there a difference in size between the two??

Thanks in advance

Stu Worrall
