> The Electrolux Kelvinator, which will be launched in India,

> of more than 90 English and Hindi phrases.
> It says things like 'drop the detergent', 'close the lid' and 'relax'
> accompanied by a tinkling of piano keys or a trumpet fanfare.
> The machine is going on sale in India after customers there

> wanted a washer that talks to them.
> Electrolux spokesman Tom Wells said: "Without any prompting,

> "When we asked them what features they wanted most of all,
> they did not

> The Walky Talky machine talks with a soft, female voice.
> Electrolux has no
> plans yet to bring it to Britain.
> The company is also working on a fridge that could tell
