The "cut" can't really be done automatically, and the combination
tools tend
to be too "footery"
Basically, to crimp an FCC8C8P (RJ45) you trim back about an inch of the
outer insulation, straighten out the twists of cable, order up the pairs
dependant on the wiring standard you are using, then use a flat set of
snips
to cut straight across. insert into the plug, and crimp..
I use a JW52 from Craplins (?18) to do commercial levels of crimping
without problem. the more expensive ?37 one lasted a couple of weeks. :(

I'm just taking a look at getting an RJ45 crimp tool, but am a little
confused as to the variety available.
I assume that I am after a tool that will strip, cut, and crimp.
Anyone got any cheap online recommendations?
