It's a "known issue" with this group. It's not gonna change
either.  It's
been like this for a long time despite some people trying to change it. 
The
group is a community and it does go off on a tangent from time to time.

If you don't enjoy the chat, then only you can decide if its worth hanging
around just for the technical stuff.

All this has been said before many times.
