Fair comment Actually Ian, - Home "Automation" _should_ IMHO
cover all
aspects of adapting the home environment to better suit the
needs/comfort/convenience of its occupants.

Even something as simple as a mechanical spring door-closer could count
really, - after all how different is it *really* (in terms of automation),
to talk about having lights come on automatically when youe enter a room,
than it is to talk about having the door close automatically behind you?

Although there's not actually any "automation" element to Tim's
query, it
does still involve adapting the environment to suit the occupant, rather
than the other way round....
