I heard, and I obeyed! CPC have had a bit of a run on out-of-stock-itis
on a
number of bits that I've wanted recently, but there's usually a couple
of
dozen alternatives to be found. I've just ordered a Rapid catalogue
today so
I'll look forward to a nice long dump when it turns up ;-) Don't forget
that
you get your =A33 back on your first order over =A330.

Nah, register on their web site and you can spend as little with them as
you
like. You only need to spend lotsa dosh if you want to get your hands on
their lovely catalogue, but considering it must cost a fortune to
produce,
that's not unreasonable IMO.

To be honest I just went for the CD option as the paper catalogue just
takes up huge amount of space. The main benefit for me is free shipping
on the odd order when I need something quickly, but don't need to buy 30
quid or so's worth of stuff.

I tend to buy lots of mechanical stuff - for example I've got a digital
calliper from Mitotoyu which measures to a resolution of .01mm, four
different grades of Loctite, double sided Velcro (great for making up
bundles of cables where zip ties are too permanent) - the list goes
on... That's where RS come in handy for me.
