To be honest, I never managed to get the dial up piece it working properly and decided it was easy to use Netproxy which gave a lot of extra functionality as well

I'm using it under Win2K...will have a look at a Win98 machine tonight at home...unless someone can answer it quicker in the meantime.

 

In Win2K you right click the dialup connection you have made, and then properites (from memory),  in there are several tabs of stuff including a check box for "dial on demand".

I'm using Windows 98 using the internet connection sharing feature, I can't seem to find anything about 'dial on demand' though.
