Hmmm ... I have had up to about 1.5kW flowing through one but it didn't
switch that much...

....it was controlling the feed to my AV stack and projector however all
items were shut down and the power amps silent before switching was
taking place so the quiescent current was probably in the order of a
couple of hundred watts tops.
