Thanks
Neil, Mark & Mark.
It
turns out that the local Gardiner branch is 5 mins from my house, which was
handy!
Now I
have the unit in my possession, I have a couple of questions that I hope
you
guys can help with.
Feel
free to mail me directly if you feel this is OT.
The
unit clearly states it requires a 9 VAC power supply, however, the PSU
supplied
with the unit is 12 VDC.
There
is a sticker on it that says it works, but I'm worried! Is it really
ok?
Is the
cable that connects the unit to the X10 thing straight through or
crossed?
If you
have say, X10 P1 sent on when the system is armed, does it send off when
disarmed regardless of the pulse/toggle setting?
Also,
the ability to add an extra device or devices to the door transmitter is
great.
I was thinking of adding a bell push to
the
one at the front door. Any of you guys added anything out of the
ordinary
to one of these?
Sorry for all the questions, I expect there
will
be more, hope you don't mind :-)
Cheers,
Justin.
still happy with mine after 6 months or so.

I've had mine installed
for
about a month now...no problems even with my two cats chasing each
other
around with a PIR in the kitchen. 1 tip, if you don't mind wiring a few
bits. The magnetic door contacts have an aux input, so you can wire a
cheap bog-standard PIR to that contact and it will show up as a
seperate
zone!
from gardiner security:
PIR = approx 50 quid Mag
contact = approx 25 quid
