I've got three of the Smartlinc screens installed on various
circuits and have never had a single lock-up problem.

I have not extended the supplied cable, so I guess you should assume
this is where the problem lies.

Maybe bad connection as i'd be a touch surprised if it was due to
cable length as we are not talking lots extra.
