Re: Powermax alarms - Still ok?

Justin,
Only problems I have had with mine is that one time the system lost the signal from the smoke detector, my wireless LAN went down at the same time, don't know what caused it but as it was continuously monitored zone I could not stop it until I removed that zone. I must get around to putting it back in.
I could not connect with the software package, but I only tried a couple of times, once through a mobile phone & once from a dodgy pulse dialling line at work.
The other thing to note is that each door contact also has an additional hard wired zone, worked great for me as I could use some of the sensors from my old alarm.
I still have not finished tying it in with homeseer yet to get lighting control with the PIRs

Subject: [ukha_d] Powermax alarms - Still ok?

I am just about to put in an order for a Visionic Powermax alarm
and am interested to know if those of you who have been using one
for a while now are still happy with it.

Have any problems come to light since you installed your unit?
Would you do anything different if you had to install again?
Any other advice/thoughts/comments?

Cheers,

Justin.
