No offence taken.
On another note - As apposed to using Girder, could you use the cats serial
number as a "hot key combination" to trigger an access database
and put you
in the right field depending on which cat you are using.  My logic is: you
use cat serial number 12345 which is located at your cupboard to scan and
because of the serial, the database knows that the food/whatever scanned is
going into the cupboard and populates the table of "food in
cupboard".  This
database could keep track of food *AND*/ its location.

This of course assuming Girder can't keep track of *where* the food is
being
kept.
