I can do you a PCB if you don't fancy the vero board work. This is a simple circuit and should work well assuming 38KHz for the remote frequency.

My Tivo arrived today - it is still setting itself up. Problem is that it won't fit under the TV, it is quite a bit taller than the video that it was replacing.
I was thinking of putting behind the TV out of the way but then have the problem of how to control it. Does anyone know of a simple IR extender that will send a signal 2 feet.
LetsAutomate have the Xantech stuff, but its seems a bit OTT for my requirements. I was hoping that there would be a simple circuit somewhere to do the same thing.
Does anyone have any ideas?

TIA
Mark Hopley
