Of course, that was the point of purchasing it at the first place.

And the only way to have Hi-Fi automated. MP3 is not of quality of the CD, And I got rid of 3-4 full plastic bags of CD cases.

I tried changing numbers with sequence you mentioned and it works (of course :-).

Well, a screw up when making it multiregion could still be on the cards cos' mine was ugraded when I bought it, almost 18 months ago.

 

But I can live with it - saves me having to get up to change a disc :)

Oh, I feel better now.

I thought that the guys scr...ed up something when they removed regional protection.

I hope, when I put it in an enclosed cabinet, it will be much less noticable.

Yes it does. It always has had a high pitched hiss, that i assume is from the mechanism. It only seems to be noticable when there is no sound being played though.

 

When changing the DVDs though, the mechanism does sound alittle laboured, can't help thinking it will give up one of these days :(

Jon, does your changer makes some hissing noise when playing DVDs. It's quiet with CDs, but DVDs are hissing and that annoys me.

I think it's normal, because my PC DVD is making similar noise.

I have the same Sony DVD changer & 32" TV & ended up having to make a stand myself for everything that I wanted.

 

Not sure I'd be too happy putting a 70Kg TV on top of the changer itself though.

 

Have enclosed a little piccy, the DVD changer is bottom right on the HiFi stand

I'll play a bit with them again tonight. I gave up a long ago, thought it's not possible.

I just started automating home with the idea of giving voice commands and it will change CD and play, but it's long way to there.

My current problem is that I have no cabinet to put it in, so it's still sitting on the floor (last 6 month).

It's 56cm deep as you know, and I couldn't find any suitable Hi-Fi cabinet that deep.

We'll get a baby girl in a month and will start runnin around soon, and all those LEDs will be so tempting. Therefore I'm looking for cabinet with glass doors, not the open one.

I checked IKEA and most manufacturers from Hi-Fi mags, but no luck. I would like it to be strong enough to withstand my 32" Widescreen TV. It's 70kg.(So I'm looking for TV stand, really)

Any idea?

I'll still chase you about this disc selecting, when I try again at home. There was a huge battle when I brought it home and the war still lasts. SWMBO is not much happy with it because of dimensions and choosing the CDs/DVDs. How do you select discs?
