Suddenly, I have a great idea... at the Last big UKHA meet in London, we
came through Luton Airport, and they had a cool Quarter of a Million's
worth
of Plasma screens.
by now, they must be utterly illegible.
So, we put in a bid for them, pay £500 a pop, then auction them to
"dissapointed enron customers" on Ebay!!
Ian.

Indeed! Maybe I'm just being mean, but I would _love_ to be a fly on the
wall when these suckers switch on their 8 grand sets to find lovelyy ellow
streaks across the top and bottom of the screens :-)
I turned on a few while I was @ Enron & pointed out the burn to ppl
around
me - they hadn't even considered it a possibility that there would be a
problem, yet had moments ago been discussing bidding about 2k for one - 2k
of courseb eing an unrealistic bargain judging from the prices today :-D
I wonder are these ppl
a) Mad
b) Filthy rich
c) Completely Bonkers
d) Just caught up in auction frenzy or
d) Start staring certifiable???? :-)
I mean, some of the web bidders make comments (that everyone can hear)
about
'you can buy that for 3500 retail (about 42" screens) and they still
go for
4250 + all the extra charges!!!!!
Duh!
I'm not sure even the thought of the Enron logo on my screen could convince
me to spend that much on an unguaranteed screen I've not even seen :-)
Tony.

At least the Enron logo burnt on the screen will be more permanent than a
sticker :-)
