Behringer do the eurorack http://www.behringer.com/02_products/prodindex.cfm?id=MX602A&lang=eng for less than £100, I had the 1604 which was excellent (given to my B-In-Law as he used it more than me....)

Personally, at the "small number of inputs" end of the market, I like Studiomaster and Soundcraft.
 
I think you could do a lot worse than go to Turnkey's website (www.turnkey.uk.com) and browse through their "megadeals" bargains. Something like the Soundcraft Folio Notepad for £100 should do the job fine. I _think_ it's got 10 mono inputs, so you'll need to use them in pairs panned alternatively left and right.
Alternatively, look in the Classifieds section of "Sound on Sound".
