Help with Audio Solution

Hi.

For a long while I have been searching but have not found my 'ideal
solution'

I currantly am in the market for getting a portable MP3 player. I also am
in
the market for home and car solution.

Of course I don't want to spen too much money.

I need to be able to transfer songs easy. If we take the portable unit
first
I was thinking I could do with a unit that has a USB2 connection which
plays
MP3s but one that I can also use as an external HD for storing general
files. This unit would also have a Ethernet connection.

Any ideas.
