Actually I mis-read the regs. It is one fitting for every three rooms, plus all outside lights must either be energy saving or controlled by an ambient light and movement detector.

Don’t forget that new building regs mean that a third of your lamps now have to have fittings which can *only* take energy saving bulbs L
