You're out of date as of last night Frank. Super dooper new relays have NO
and NC as well as common contacts. They will also be able to supply power
e.g. for water valves although not necessary in this case. This function
will probably be jumper selectable by relay so mix and match.

I would assume the resistors would have to be the same wattage as
speakers.
I wonder what effect would have switching speakers in /out (the
transition
point ) have on the amp. Maybe mute output when momentarily when
selecting
/deselecting? zones .Ians relay board
does not have dry changeover contacts to switch between resistor and
speaker
although would be good to use to isolate from hv or pc.
