That's it. No output required to unoccupied rooms, or those with the
lights off at night. Reduced volume output to the bedroom at night.
Increased volume output to the office if music is playing, but normal
volume to the kitchen as there is nothing going on in there, that
kind of flexibility.

Perhaps (and this is a bit overkill) a little diskless LAN booted VIA
board computer for each zone that receives networked messages;
the message to be announced, and the volume.

Then the Server won't address those VIAs that aren't required, and
each zone gets individual attention.
