That would be be good for folks and much the same as I am doing with the relay board. Assuming you are not using PCB pool you will need the professional version of the software in order to output the Gerber files. I can do this for you of course if you have not got around to buying it by then. Drop me a line nearer the time and I will pass on the info I have re. hole sizes etc. There is a lot of work to do to make sure it is actually what you want.

Good luck

Hi Ian
I was actually thinking seriously of getting pcb,s done of both 8  zone transmitter + 8 zone reciever . The pcbs would be good for people with little electronics experience.

Hi Frank

Although not for me I don't think you are wasting your time at all. There must be lots of folks out there who would like zoned IR from HV but cannot justify the cost of or simply don't need KAT5. When it arrives KAT5 for IR distribution only would almost be a criminal offence along the lines of Xantech costs. My advice would be to carry on, keep it simple so it can be made at home and cheap. That way folks would be independent save for some advice form the list. A worst case scenario should be providing a circuit board but to make that economical you would have to do some market research to see if it is worthwhile (speaking from experience).

Um Does that mean im wasting my time at the moment working on a multizone reciever ? Probably better to wait for the Kat5 switcher. Has any specs been released as yet?
