Yes it can.  BUT....

If you are watching a recording back you CAN'T be watching a Sky channel
at
the same time!  In our house I'm quite often watching Sky in the AV
Room
while Mrs is watching a TiVo recording.  Or the kids are watching
the
Cartoon channel in their bedroom while I'm watching TiVo.  You can't
do that
with Sky+!!  You actually need TWO sky subs to watch ONE sky channel
in this
situation.
