i was looking at getting a sony box some time ago when it was first
rumoured that sky were to introduce DD. even then it was unclear
whether the electronics in the box could do DD (even with a mod) or
was that it needed a software update that sky wouldn't download.
i decided to wait for someone to do mod/hack of a box to get DD. don't
know if that ever happened.
