I think I recall seeing a program a year or two ago about how national
TV viewing figures are compiled (or maybe it was will be compiled in the
future with new technology).
If I recall rightly each member of the sample "average British family"
all wear some sort of ID tag when they are at home.
A detector near the TV logs who is in the room and what channel is being
watched.
It can detect family members entering and leaving the room without them
having to manually log the details or push any buttons.

Seems like the technology is available, just needs some clever bod here
to adapt it to our needs and a bulk buy to make it affordable...
Anyone know one of these average British families?

Anto.

LOL

Yeah and if I go in with something for her and nothing for me she'll
suss that something's going down ;)

Best to leave that idea till a birthday or Christmas methinks!

On the HA side, I had mentioned this before and I do think that it is
the ultimate answer to the problem of detection, it could also be used
to identify intruders in the house to your alarm in fact you could do a
lot with it.

The problems are:

WAF, right up there at the top of the list!
Reliability
Acceptability to the general public
Civil rights people screaming from the rooftops!
Can you imagine being hacked!!!

K.
