    You can select to turn the front IR Blaster ON or OFF through Messages/Setup > Recorder & Phone Setup > STB Control . If your STB can receive the Front Blasted IR and the IR lead then you will get unpredictable results - I would suggest one or the other. I use the lead only.

Ah, this might explain why I sometimes get a channel change of 1106 (not
106) could my sky box be picking up the belated (bounced) tivo signal after
the blaster?

Any thoughts...
