Yup, basically they all seem to have advantages and disadvantages, there
is a lot I like about the AT for integration into the existing hi-fi
kit, a lot I like about the SliMP3 because of its data handling and
display and I like the fact that the DDAR/RIOs are cheap!

At the end of the day, it's horses for courses and I don't think that
there is one single solution and I may try a combination of devices.

I'm gonna try, as Mark H. suggested, the JReceiver software with the
DARs and see if that makes things any better if I get a chance this
weekend but I do not think that the DDARs are going to hack it for what
I want. For others they may well be perfectly fine, but I think I may
have limited use for them. As for the AT, it looks lovely and has got
the digital out which is a big plus as well as the web control looks a
lot neater than the DAR applet thing (which I find very flaky) which
IMO, wouldn't be hard.

Each device has its pros and cons depending on the use it's put to and
the user's preferences and I think that is the perfect excuse to try
them all ;)
