Yeah, this is my first go at it properly, and it is kinda satisfying
getting it working, even if there was a lot of frustration at first..

This project has covered the teaching of electronics and transistors,
now to pick another component and see what we can learn from
there :D .. Mmm... Opto isolators sounds good :D

>Like any hobby it WILL cost you money . I

Ooo.. yes, especially when starting out....

Ouch!

3mm.

hehehe, the problem I had is I could only find 3mm ones, eventually
got the 5mm ones ...

Always happens to me, so I get stuff delevered to the office now..
makes it easier to sneak into the house without SWMBO noticing.. :P

Glad to have been of service :D

Photies is good :D

I'm expecting the baby to be fully trained and in use making pcb's bu
the age of 6 months :P

led and

Yup, that's what I did , it's quite good, SWMBO was quite impressed
that I had a black box with flashing lights on it - NOT... :P

:D - at last a good idea! :O

Is this in series or parallel? I'm still string to work out how to
measure the (m)amp usage, I've only got a basic multi meter..

> Xantech expensive stuff ?

Xantech 10 emitter connecting block is priced at =A3 77.23 (=A365.73 +
VAT)

I don't have anything on homevision yet but if you go to
www.automated.it/homevision/ there are some of the pics etc that I
did..

And I've just had an idea for my next project... convert the IR
receiver to a networked one using a Rabbit!! Mm.. maybe a little more
experiece is needed ...
