I'm just about ready to release a beta of my
Meteor
CID plugin.
Just to recap,
the
plugin will will pass CID info to HomeSeerPhone so it can handle calls
based on who is calling.
HSP will in turn inform HS of an incoming call
with
caller id so you can do stuff there as well.
It also looks up numbers against names in the
HSP
phonebook for incoming & outgoing calls.
At the moment the
core
functionality is there, and it works ok with my setup (NTL CID &
Win98SE)
but there are still a couple of bits to do
(It's
explained in the readme).
Before I go any further I would like to make
sure
it works ok with BT CID as well as different OS's,
so if you would like to help test it, please
mail
me off list.
Note:
Since my previous post regarding
the
ActiveCID OCX that is required for this
plugin, Adrian Delph, creator of
ActiveCID & proprietor of Pathway Data Ltd
(www.pathwaydata.co.uk), has very
kindly
provided a customised* version of
his control for me to distribute with
my
plugin, FOR FREE - Top bloke!

plugin
for UPS's using APC's smart protocol.
Anyone using a smart UPS &
HomeSeer?
And if I can find enough time there will also be a
gameport
plugin. This
will allow input to HomeSeer using your gameport and upto 4
switches, PIR's,
sensors etc.

way to get a free version of ActiveCID. It won't
