Hi Ian
            What do you mean by collisions ? Also did you by chance read a
previous post by Dave Mc laughlin regarding Can Bus . Now thats something
worth having a look at . Apparently works as a multi master   system were
the unit with highest prioirity message gets control of the bus no polling
required. Sounds good eh?
