Cabling, cabling...

It seems that I will have one more chance to run some more extra cables throughout the flat.

First time, I had to run them under the floor and along the walls. I put Cat6, telephone and speaker cables.

Now, I'll have to put some lights and open the ceiling in the corridor, so there's a chance to put cables above the ceiling and bring them into each room.

Now, I would like to know what kind of cables I need to put. Here is what I want to have installed in each room one day:

 

- IR transmiter

- IR receiver

- Speakers

- Microphone

- PIR sensor (for occupancy detection)

- temperature sensor

- door contact

- Please suggest what else I can put here...

 

All this stuff can be installed in each room above the doors, making it easier to put the cables through.

 

This is what I think so far:

 

- IR transmiter - Cat5 (?)

- IR receiver - Cat 5 (?)

- Speakers - speaker cable (amp must be in a node 0 then - these speakers are for announcments only)

- Microphone - (?) - for speech recognition

- PIR sensor - for occupancy detection or alarm (?)

- temperature sensor - I think Dallas 1 wire system is the best way forward, but I don't know what type of cable I need here

- door contact - (?)

 

For aerial cables are too late, because I'll be able to put cables just to above the doors, there's no way to route them through the room.

 

Are there any rules where to place these devices relative to each other, can I just place the one next to other?

How far microphone must be from speakers, so it won't affect each other?
