RE: RE: IR - RS232
Nice thought, but I'm looking at having this installed and working by
mid-August. I've been put in touch with a turnkey solution provider by
my builders. I'm going to see what they come up with.

Hi Tim
The IR repeater I am working on will do this with some mods to the
code.
Assuming you are using remotes that I support then this is possible. If
you want to pursue this I will give you more info as to exactly where I
am and what would be needed and the difficulties.
Currently my unit takes the IR, learns it and sends a description of it
via serial to PC at 9600. All that would be needed is a table lookup

It does get more complicated than that but it is possible. This would
be
an US project not a YOU project though as PIC programming and my code
in
particular take some getting used to. Also with new babs on the scene I
cannot promise any timeframes.
