Peter,

There's a device called "secret switch", or something. It's
essentially a
proximity switch and enables you to hide the electronics behind your
decoration. Someone posted details to the list in the last few months.
For
your application, the user would place their hand/finger on/near the
logo
and it would have the same effect as if they'd pressed a
"physical" button.
You'd still need to organise getting the signal into the PC, or
whatever,
but it might be an option for the Customer interface.

Not touchscreen.  Could go for mouse, but I was thinking of buttons,

hidden behind a logo - i.e. someone presses the 'Compaq' logo (which

probably be a bit of perspex screwed to the wall, with a push button

We're looking to build an interactive display (plasma) in the office,
along
the
lines of 'press this button to see xyz'.  The likelihood is that
there'll
be
maybe a dozen buttons, which once pressed, would launch an avi file, or
maybe
jump to an area on the intranet.

So,  any ideas on how best to do it?  The result needs to
look
professional,
and
the cost needs to be low!  The controlling PC hasn't been spec'd yet,
so
that's
totally flexible.

Any idea would be more than welcome, as this is a new area for me
