This all really depends on the capture card your using. If you pickup a
wintv card im not sure that software mjpeg will cope well on either a p2-300
or via 800mhz.
My card does hardware mjpeg and bumps between 0% to 10% processor usage.
That's why I can still run the other things I do.

When you say Viaboard, do you mean any, or the little 1 pci slot eden?

Reasonable minium spec? There are some listed on the showshifter website
that are about right from what I remember of 2 years tinkering with it.
