There is a review here http://www.audioreview.com/Remote,Controls/Niles,Audio,Corporation,IRP6+,Remote,Control,IR,Repeater,System/PRD_128781_2770crx.aspx the price doesn't seem too unreasonable at $120 for the 6 zone one.

 

It does seem to suggest you can have multiple sensors per zone by daisy chaining them.  Although not sure of the limits.

had a quick look and noticed 2 things...

1. There are no prices (which worries me :( )

2. I looks like you only get 6 inputs and 10 outputs.. I'm thinking
more along the lines of 8 inputs and 64 outputs (8 per zone)

still looking though...
