True, and this is the main argument that those people who support the
feature use. The fact remains, however, that at some stage TiVo reserved a
section of the hard disk for these recordings . The TiVo software will not
allow the user to record their own programs in that space, but TiVo *could*
reallocate that space to the user if they decided to. It's a fairly
significant size too - at least big enough to hold 30 minutes of programmes
at Best quality.

Also true, but it will take precedence over any suggestions that would
normally record.
