After spending several
months
resisting, I am now looking at putting in some Cat5 to upgrade the whole
house video
which is at the moment based on several video
senders.
Ideally I would like to
distribute
DVD, PC, Caller ID (overlay), CCTV and TiVo to
all TV's
in the house. My original
thinking was
to use Keith's KAT5 modules, but from what I understand I can only send one
source down at a time. So I
think what
I really need is a combination of KAT5 modules to get everything to a
central location,
then re-distribute over Coax to each room on different UHF frequencies -
presumably
much like hotels do it
??
Am I thinking down the
right route
or should I stop now before wasting more money on things I don't need
(again).
If so does anyone have any experience of redistributing signals of Coax ?
If the costs are
horrendous
then how would I go about implementing an automatic switching KAT5
hub?
Thanks,
Mark
