I have.....  old fashioned ADSL ;) ... before wires-only was
available. 
Not a single problem here, but I'm getting a TurboNet anyway for web 
control, so I'll probably have it get updates over ADSL :)

There's a thread about wires-only causing problems at the Tivo forums:-
